Product Service System: Food United Trolley

  1. The project is great as it focuses on many aspects of food sharing at the same time but this also makes it quite confusing about what the benefits are and what the consumer does.
There are very strict regulations surrounding food sharing and these should be looked up as the selling of leftovers would probably not legally be allowed to occur.
The concept of the trolley and the final design is very similar to that of the IDEO trolley. And I am unsure how the re-design of the trolley is a benefit …..

Your posters are very well executed and you should be very proud of your renders and technical drawings!

  2. It is excellent to address the issue of leftovers however it doesn't seem that the benefits would motivate consumers. There is also the issue that other consumers may not be willing to purchase the product made with leftovers.

The trolley itself is great, I like the use of the rotacastor wheel however with that many parts in the one assembly there is more that can go wrong with jamming. There is also the issue of consumers shopping with infants, where conventional trolleys have an area for infants to be seated whilst shopping. This can lead to consumers being less inclined to use this product as it isn't convenient for them.
